One down...

...eleven to go.

Chemo is awful. It is vile. It is poison at it's finest.

I have never been much of a drinker, in large part because it only took one or two hangovers to cure me of any taste for alcohol - ever. Recovery from chemo is like having a hangover that lasts and lasts for days on end.

So one chemotherapy session down, eleven more to go.

Maybe now I will lose some weight! Jenny Craig's got nothin' on chemo!

Ugh...I am sure it is awful. You have to keep in mind what it is doing, killing cancer cells, protecting your future...oh yeah, and pretty much ruining today. And tomorrow. But keep the faith, it will be worth the peace of mind later.
Thinking of you,
Much love!

Lisa,

I have made up my mind to get in the best possible shape I can in orded to best deal with whatever awaits me. Although chemo is making you weak right now...you are growing stronger. I pray that the time between now and #12 goes quickly for you!

One down?! That's awesome! I knew you could do it. Just keep in mind what I told you at the beginning of this ordeal. If God leads you to it, he will lead you through it. Good luck at St. Baldrick's this coming weekend! You've done a good thing raising all that money for cancer research. It is soooo important! More strength and support and love coming your way - sooner than you realize!

So sorry for the way you are feeling. I have had hangovers, and they are terrible! At least yours will be doing your body good in the long run. I know mine didn't.

I hope today finds you feeling better and able to eat some comfort food.

You are always in my prayers.
Love, Julie

I can't begin to understand what you're going through. I'm sure the worst hangover is still better than chemo.
My prayer is that God keeps you strong and the chemo does it's job and gets rid of anything that shouldn't be there. I pray that the good cells get stronger and that you feel better each day.
Check your mail, I sent a care package!!

Love, Suzie
